Is this the right one for you?
One problem per series. This is the Colour Protect series. If your main problem is something else, one of the other five will do more for you than this will.
Choose this if
- Your colour looks tired by week four
- Your ends go brassy before your roots need doing
- You are booking touch-ups earlier than you would like
- Your hair was lifted or bleached to get the colour you have now
Look elsewhere if
- Greying and you would rather not dye it, Age-Defying
- Grease rather than fade, Oil Control
- Flakes are the main problem, Anti-Dandruff
- Thinning or a widening parting, Growth
This one is about your hair, not your scalp.
Your shampoo is not the main reason. It is the main thing you control.
Colour fades because dye molecules sit inside the hair shaft and the shaft is not sealed. Anything that lifts the cuticle lets them out: sulphates, hot water, sun, chlorine, and the lifting process your colourist used to get the colour in there in the first place. Most of that list you cannot do much about. Two items on it you can.
Sulphates are the first. They clean by lifting the cuticle, which is precisely the mechanism that costs you colour, and they are in most supermarket shampoo. This is sulphate-free, with cranberry, lingzhi, Moroccan chamomile and hydrolyzed wheat protein, and panthenol fifth on the ingredient list in the buy panel above, higher than in any other product we make. The second is water temperature, and that one is free.
What it will not do. It will not stop your colour fading. Nothing will. Every wash takes some dye with it, and anything claiming otherwise is either a colour-depositing product, which this is not, or is lying to you. What it does is slow the rate. For most people that means stretching the gap between appointments rather than removing it, and whether that is worth $88 is arithmetic you can do yourself against what your colourist charges.
Four jobs, and the first one is a subtraction.
Most of what this product does is a matter of what is not in it. Here is the formula described by what is on the ingredient list, and one honest limit at the end.
No sulphates
Sulphates clean by lifting the cuticle, and an open cuticle is how dye escapes. Switching is the highest-leverage change a colour-treated person can make.
Higher than in anything else we make
Panthenol sits fifth, higher than in anything else we make. Lifting the cuticle to get dye in left the shaft permanently thirstier.
Lingzhi, cranberry, vitamin E, ascorbyl palmitate
Colouring is oxidation, and so is a Singapore sun on your parting. Lingzhi, cranberry, vitamin E and ascorbyl palmitate sit at seven, nine, nineteen and twenty-three.
Nothing does. This slows the rate
Every wash takes some dye with it; what changes is how fast. For most people that is six weeks between appointments stretching to eight or nine.
Judge this one against your calendar, not your mirror.
The scan does not measure colour; it photographs the scalp. The honest measure here is your next appointment — if the gap stretches, it worked.

The Colour Protect routine at home plus a course of in-studio treatments. The two ran together — the treatments move it, the routine holds it.
Week by week, and the week that actually counts.
This is the one product in the range where the meaningful test is a date in your diary rather than something you can see in a mirror.
- Week 1–2It feels different immediatelyLess squeak, more slip. The lather is smaller than a supermarket shampoo, which is the sulphate-free base and also the entire point.
- Week 3–6The week your colour usually goesThis is where you would normally notice it looking tired. Watch that fortnight specifically. It is the most informative stretch in the whole eight weeks.
- Week 8The week to judge itJudge it against the calendar: has your next appointment moved later than it usually would? Book the free scan at week eight as well, because a scalp condition underneath will be working against you.
- Month 3–6One or two appointments fewer a yearIf it stretches six weeks to eight, that is roughly two fewer colour appointments a year. At Singapore salon prices that is the shampoo paid for several times over, which is the honest reason to buy it.
Step one of two, and the masque that goes with them.
There is no Colour Protect tonic, because fade is a hair problem rather than a scalp one and a leave-in on the scalp would not do much about it. The shampoo is where the mechanism lives. The conditioner protects the lengths, which on lifted hair are the oldest and most damaged part. The Restoration Masque is the weekly step, five minutes on damp mid-lengths and ends in place of the conditioner, and our own instructions already recommend it alongside this series.

Not sure this is the right one?
Guessing is expensive. Your first treatment is $59 and it opens with an AI scan of your scalp, so the next thing you buy is the one you actually need.
Questions we get asked
No. Nothing will. Every wash takes some dye with it. What this does is slow the rate, which for most people means stretching the gap between appointments rather than removing it.
No. There is no colourant in it, and it will not tint, refresh or correct tone. If you want a purple shampoo for brassiness, that is a different kind of product and we do not make one.
Yes, and it is not tone-specific, because it does not deposit anything. The mechanism is the same whether you are blonde, brunette or red, and it is the same whether the colour is permanent or semi.
No, and this is worth saying clearly because it is common advice. Washing less often mostly just makes your scalp worse. What matters is what you wash with and how hot the water is.
You can, and it is a good sulphate-free wash for anyone. But you would be paying for antioxidants aimed at a problem you do not have, and one of the $68 series probably suits you better.
It is priced with the Growth shampoo rather than the herbal series. If cost is the deciding factor, the single change that costs you nothing is turning your shower temperature down, and we would rather tell you that than have you buy something you resent.
From your account, or one message to either studio. No minimum term, no cancellation fee.
Give us at least 48 hours before your next delivery is due. Inside that window the parcel is usually already packed, so it goes out as it is and the change applies from the order after.
Come and talk to us rather than quietly giving up. Eight weeks is the fair test, and a free scalp scan at either studio will show whether the scalp is moving or whether you are simply on the wrong bottle — if it is the wrong one, we will put you on the right one. And if you are holding something unopened, you can exchange it within 14 days of purchase for another product, or a treatment, of equal or higher value.
