Hair Loss & Thinning
Thinning hair, a widening part or more strands in the shower. This range targets the follicle itself — cleansing, conditioning and treating the scalp so hair has the conditions it needs to grow.
Three signs this range is yours.
Your part is widening
The line where you part your hair looks broader than it did a year ago, and scalp shows through it in bright light.
More hair in the shower
Strands on the pillow, in the drain or on the comb, enough that you have started noticing them rather than clearing them.
Hair feels finer than it was
A thinner handful when you gather it, or hair that will no longer hold the volume it used to hold.
Three steps, morning or night.
Used together the three build on each other. Used alone, each one still does its own job.

If you only use one thing, use this.
Dr Scalp Growth Tonic$138.00
The tonic is the active step in every Dr Scalp routine. It stays on the scalp and does the work between washes, which is why it is the one product to start with if you are starting with one.
Used once daily on a dry or towel-dried scalp. The shampoo and conditioner make it work better; they are not a substitute for it.
It starts below the hair, not on it
Hair loss is not one event. It is a slow narrowing, and it happens in an order.
Every hair grows out of a follicle, and every follicle sits in a pore in your scalp.
Oil, dead skin and leftover product settle around that pore. In Singapore’s heat you make more of the first, and sweat clears less of it than you think.
The follicle gets crowded and starved. It does not die — it shrinks.
So the hair comes back finer and shorter than last time. Then finer again. Until one cycle, it does not come back at all.
Hair is not the problem — the ground it grows from is.
What makes it worse without you noticing
None of these causes hair loss on its own. All of them make a struggling scalp work harder than it needs to — and every one is free to fix.
-
Hot water strips the scalp, so it makes more oil to compensate — wash warm and finish cool.
-
Tying hair up while it is still wet pulls at the follicle when it is weakest.
-
Sleeping with damp roots under aircon is what flaking and itch grow in.
-
Conditioner worked into the roots adds to the build-up you are trying to clear.
-
Your parting is the one patch of scalp with no cover at all, in Singapore sun, every day.
-
Skipping washes to rest the scalp is not rest — oil and sweat are still sitting there.
Not this one?
Each range is built around one scalp concern.
Have your scalp read before you choose.
A scan at either studio reads your scalp in four zones and tells you which range fits. It comes with your first treatment — $59, about an hour, and there is nothing you have to buy at the end of it.
Common questions
Each range is built around one scalp concern, and every product page says who it is for and who it is not for. If you are not sure, a scalp scan at either studio reads your scalp in four zones and tells you which range fits. You are not obliged to buy anything at the end of it.
You can start with one, and the tonic is the one to start with — the block above explains why. Adding the shampoo and conditioner gives it a cleaner scalp to work on, which is what the three together are for.
Hair grows slowly, so nothing on a scalp shows a change in a week. Give any range a full cycle of regular use before judging it, and photograph your part in the same light on the day you start — that photograph is worth more than a memory of how it looked.
Everybody sheds, and a certain amount every day is simply hair finishing its cycle. What matters is not the number in the drain but whether the hair coming back is as thick as the hair that left. A widening part, a thinner ponytail and finer strands along the top are the signs worth acting on. If it came on suddenly, or in patches, see a doctor before you see us — that pattern usually has a cause a shampoo cannot reach.
Yes, and people often do — an oil-control shampoo with a growth tonic, for example. What you should not do is layer two tonics at once. If you are unsure about a combination, message us before you buy using the contact details at the foot of this page.
Tell your doctor what you are using and follow what they say — that is the only answer anyone should give you here. Every ingredient is listed in full on each product page so you can take it to them, and our therapists will go through it with you at a scan if that is easier.
