Ninety seconds against twenty-four hours.
A shampoo has about ninety seconds of contact before it goes down the drain. A leave-in tonic sits on the scalp until you next wash it. Same active, completely different exposure, and that is the entire reason this bottle costs more than the shampoo.
The active is Capixyl , a peptide-and-red-clover complex used widely in scalp serums. On this product you can check it yourself: Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3 and Trifolium Pratense Flower Extract are both on the ingredient list in the buy panel above. Around them sit herbal extracts long used in scalp formulas, He Shou Wu, Rehmannia, dong quai, ginger and liquorice, with macadamia oil and panthenol so it does not leave the scalp tight.
What it will not do. It will not work if you do not use it. This is a daily habit, not a course of anything, and the difference between people who see something at week eight and people who do not is almost entirely whether they kept going. And if what you have is advanced pattern baldness, no tonic is the answer, that is a doctor’s conversation, and we would rather say so.
