Ninety seconds against twenty-four hours, and eighth against twenty-third.
A colour change can only begin at the follicle, because that is the only place pigment is put into a hair. A shampoo is on your follicles for about ninety seconds before it goes down the drain. A leave-in is there until your next wash. On a process that takes months, that difference is not marginal, it is the whole thing.
Then there is the second difference, and this one you can check yourself in two clicks. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-20 Amide, sold as GREYVERSE, sits eighth on this ingredient list. On the conditioner it is nineteenth. On the shampoo, twenty-third. Ingredient lists run roughly in descending order, so that ranking tells you something real without us publishing a percentage we cannot source. Around it sit dong quai, chuan xiong, ginseng, thuja, He Shou Wu and ginger, positions nine to fourteen.
What it will not do. It will not turn your existing greys dark, because nothing can except a dye and this is not one. It affects hair that has not grown yet, appearing at the root and moving down at about a centimetre a month. And it will not work if you do not use it, which on a six-month timeline is the failure mode that actually happens. Lucas Meyer publish clinical data on GREYVERSE. That is their study of their ingredient, not our study of this bottle, and until we have run our own we are not going to call this clinically proven.

No colourant of any kind, so nothing on your pillow and no regrowth line. It also cannot darken the greys you already have.

Alcohol is the carrier that lets a water-thin tonic spread and dry without a film. If it concerns you, patch test behind the ear for 24 hours.
