Capixyl™:
An anti-aging hair care complex which consists of biomimetic signal peptide (Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3) and Red Clover Flower Extract. Inflammation Reduction for Normal Hair Cycle
Microinflammations of the scalp are a lead contributor to hair thinning and hair loss. They occur when the skin around the hair follicles becomes inflamed and weakens the hair root.
CapixylTM has proven efficacy to decrease pro-inflammatory cytokines (signaling molecules that secreted from immune cells that promote inflammation) by up to 48% as compared to control group. The effect of CapixylTM has a dose dependent effect.
Inhibition of 5-α-reductase Activity, Thereby Modulating the Conversion of Testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT)
The enzyme 5–α-reductase catalyses the conversion testosterone to DHT. DHT causes hair loss by shortening the growth phase of the hair cycle, causing miniaturization of the hair follicles, and producing progressively shorter, finer hairs.
Clinical data shows that Biochanin A (major isoflavone in red clover) inhibits 5–α-reductase activity, and thus reducing the conversion of testosterone into DHT. This helps prevent miniaturization of hair follicles.
Extra Cellular Matrix (ECM) Renewal and Anchoring Improvement
